Sorry...a late update (12th of May)

I guess it's time to update you all on what's going on. The answer is really: nothing much, or: quite a lot. Depends what way you look at it. We are just busy with arranging everything in our life. And I'm quite busy with working as well.

So it's basically just: going to work, coming back home for dinner, drop dead on the couch and go to bed. Not really exiting, but hey, that's just the way it is. Other than this: we are still trying to 'get used to' the fact that dad isn't around anymore. There are lots of things reminding us about that, especially everything that needs to be arranged, but it's still really tough. This morning Angela, her sisters and Tiny (dad's gf) went to the crematorium to scatter dad's ashes. Angela says that the scattering itself wasn't difficult, but the moment silence was the difficult part.

I had May the 5th off (finally, after my boss decided there was a good ground for it) and we had a nice quiet day. In the afternoon we went to the city center (2 seconds walking distance) to check what was going on. As it was freedom day (VE day) there was a sort of concert going on. However, it was so stupid: having Canadian and British veterans for the festivities and then singing Dutch songs... I don't think they thought about that deeply enough! There were also some vehicles, which were restored from the second world war. We did walk around those to look at them and that was interesting. Other than that though we stayed quietly at home, watched some tv and just relaxed a bit.

The Rover doesn't work anymore at the moment, electrical fault, so we go to the club by bike. Yep...bicycle... That is indeed working, but I guess it's sorta good for us.. :)

I don't really know anything to write anymore at the moment. Just that I know I should write more often...
